Malarmey bowl in the shape of a bird.
Jean-Claude Malarmey was trained at the School of Fine Arts in Reims. He moved to Vallauris in the mid 1950's. Together with his colleagues, Robert Perot and Dominique Baudart, he opened the Vieux Moulin workshop in an old olive oil mill and began producing high-quality art pottery with distinctive, hand painted polychrome designs in muted shades of brown, beige, blue, green and white.
