Jean de Lespinasse pitcher, France 1960's

€ 1.400 EUR

Vintage Lespinasse ceramic jug vase with mottled blue‑green glaze, rounded body and handle, featuring a bold band of raised diamond and bead motifs

Resistant on the côte d'azur during the second world war, Jean de Lespinasse and his wife created Socfra, which produced ceramics in nice in the late 1940s. Their route will then cross that of Roger Capron, Madoura workshop or Robert Picault. There is above all a great work in enamel, between the mats and the glosses, which demonstrates a great mastery of the art of ceramics.
