Roland Zobel (Les Cyclades) wall plaque, France 1960s

Vintage Mid‑century Roland Zobel Les Cyclades ceramic wall plaqe featuring a stylised multicoloured fish in relief on a dark wood rectangular background.

Trained at the School of Fine Arts in Bourges and at the International School of Ceramics in Faenza in Italy. He created the Atelier "Les Cyclades" in Générargues near Anduze. His solar creations feature an enchanting bestiary from Mediterranean mythologies.
