Gustav Leek glass lamp, Sweden 1960s
Vintage amber glass table lamp by Gustav Leek for Orrefors with tall cylindrical base, richly textured with raised circular and floral motifs.
Gustav Leek was a Swedish glass designer associated with Orrefors, one of Sweden’s most important art‑glass manufactories in the 20th century.
Working in the postwar decades, he explored clean, functional forms that aligned with Scandinavian modernism while still exploiting the expressive potential of thick, high‑quality crystal.
Orrefors itself, founded in the late 19th century in Småland, became internationally renowned from the 1920s onward for its graal, Ariel and engraved glass, collaborating with designers such as Simon Gate, Edvin Hald and Vicke Lindstrand.
