Chalet Artistic Glass vase, Canada 1960s
Deep red Chalet Artistic Glass vase.
Chalet Artistic Glass was a renowned Canadian glass company active from 1962 to 1974 in Cornwall, Ontario. Founded by Italian artisans Angelo and Luigi Tedesco and Sergio Pagnin, it evolved from traditional Venetian-style pieces to fluid “stretch glass” designs that became popular in the 1960s. Known for its vibrant jewel tones and organic, free-form shapes, Chalet produced vases, bowls and candleholders that are now highly collectible, often identified by the sandblasted “Chalet CANADA” mark on the base.
